hey friends! last year, I shared a vision board post in which I also showed you guys what my vision board looks like, shared some of my goals, and how I made my vision board, and this year, in this post, I will be doing the same!

it’s so crazy thinking about all the happened in just the past year, how I changed, and how I actually achieved a lot of my goals. I played guitar almost everyday, learned almost 20 different songs that I can play without the chords in front of me, read my Bible daily, I definitely grew my babysitting business – I am typically babysitting twice a week for 6-8 hours at a time. I started my email list, and we just hit 100 subscribers on that, I started working out every day, which I love, and I started my own graphic design business! I got out of a slightly toxic friend group, found so many amazing friends, truly had a tsitp summer, had the best soccer season of my life, injured myself, made new running prs, and grew so much in so many areas of my life.

this year, I want to really keep going on the momentum from all the amazing things that happened in 2023 but also not just dwell on the highs of the past but also dwell on the things that will happen this year, as well as my goals and things I want to accomplish in 2024.

my goals

-play 2 full soccer seasons

spring and fall, last year I only played fall and would like to stay in shape soccer skill wise and team wise during the off season

-focus on core strength 2x week

I tend to lean towards leg day everyday (cant blame me, im a soccer player 😂) but building core strength is something I started to work on this year and would like to make a habit of in 2024

-run 7+ miles/week

I’m sure I already do this if not more, but having something I am staying accountable to in terms of miles/week would be super helpful to stay on track with training

-journal 3x week

I feel like this past year I stopped journaling because I had so much going on, but talking time to decompress through writing things out is super important and I would love to try to get back into it

-continue daily Bible times

self explanatory 😂

-guitar practice 3x week

-prioritize stretches + recovery

especially with my knee injury this is SO important after a run especially, and if I want to keep running and training while im injured, recovery is really important

-improve footwork

you will not understand anything im about to say if you dont play soccer, but maradonas, scissors, step overs, L kicks, turns, etc.

-try something new or something you haven’t done in a while (?)

maybe get back into archery a bit, play basketball, start skateboarding again? the question mark is there for a reason haha

-drink 90oz water/day

drinking water is SUPER IMPORTANT and I want to have a set marker I hit everyday

how I make good goals

goals are what everyone talks about, but its important to make achievable goals. making crazy goals like “repping a 100lb squat” when you’ve never squatted before, isnt a great idea. but making goals that BUILD on something you already started is a good idea. a lot of my goals this year are things that I’m really close to or already do but its also tracking those miles, or how much water I drink every day or creating simple but important habits. here are some ideas for good do-able goals!

-wake up before 10

this is mainly for homeschooled girlies but waking up early is a great habit that I have started doing that helps me start the day off on the right foot and feel productive and motivated!

-start a routine of some sort

whether its a specific workout routine, mornin or night routine, add a routine that you do everyday to bring consistency to life!

-eat 1 veggie and 1 fruit a day

if eating healthier is one of your goals, this is a great place to start!!

5 tips for making the BEST vision board for 2024

  1. find all of the pictures and graphics you want to use before you start designing it. that way you can upload all your images into canva at the same time, and don’t have to worry about adding extra photos later.
  2. create a color scheme + edit your photos. that way all the photos whether you took them yourself of found them on pinterest or instagram all look cohesive and don’t look really thrown together and sloppy. from this, if you want to create your own graphic with your goals, you can base your color scheme for that off the colors in most of your photos.
  3. use pictures from the past year that is connected to a memory that makes you happy or makes you feel productive. this will create excitement to do the new thing son your vision board, and also put you in a happy mood whenever you look at it.
  4. when you open canva to design your vision board choose the “desktop wallpaper” blank template. this way, your vision board will easily fit onto the background or your laptop without cropping anything out. you can also make on for your phone!
  5. set is as your desktop wallpaper, or hang it up in your room! this way you can consistently see your goals and hopes for 2024, and it will mentally help you make your life JUST life your vision board.

that’s all for today! what are YOUR 2024 goals? are you making a vision board? make sure to check out Pearl’s post at pearlchristine.com!
