this summer i had a unspoken goal to be on my phone less and start doing more likes crafts/creative things to pass the time i’m not busy. and to say the least i am not the most creative person lol.

a few weeks ago i was watching a summer prep with me video on youtube while i was cleaning my room, trying to inspire and motivate myself because music wasnt working, and she mentioned how she needed to run to the store to get supplies for her supper scrapbook and i was like “thats it! i’m going to scrapbook my summer!” then the next day i came across a video of halle sandberg (she’s one of my favorite influencers if you didnt already know) doing a little scrap book update and oh my goodness her scrapbooks are adorable πŸ₯Ή so i ran to the store and grabbed a ton of scrapbooking supplies and its been keeping me busy ever since, so i thought i’d share some of my tips and inspo that i’ve used so far!!

scrapbooks are also a great homemade gift for christmas and birthday gifts for friends or boyfriends!

supplies

-a scrapbook (i used a 60 page sketch pad from hobby lobby)

-colorful markers (i use the zebra midliners)

-tape (you can use double sided tape or just loop normal scotch tape.)

-hot glue gun (for gluing things on the cover)

-PLENTY of stickers, scrap paper, etc.

-a pinterest board full of inspo (check mine out here)

-scissors! i have a special pair of scrapbooking scissors but normal scissors work too)

-black sharpies and pens

*you can also print out borders and backround designs from pinterest*

pages to include ✨

(more inspo under this)

-letter to your future self

-bucket list with a cute checklist

-playlist page with all your favorite songs

-photos from busy/big days (birthday, fourth of july, sport tryouts, parties, vacations)

-collages from mini photoshoots

-every month do a page with a bunch of sunset pictures

-every few weeks do a “foodie” page with your favorite treats and meals you’ve had

-a bereal page with a bunch of bereals

-what makes me happy page

step 1 : design the cover

cover design is so important! if your doing a summer scrapbook, you can title it “summer ’24” or “your name’s summer”! another fun idea is doing one per school year so freshman year, sophomore year, etc.”

step 2 : opening page (goals, bucket list, letter to your future self or all three!)

here’s some inspo pages i used!

halle sandberg is one of my fav places for inspo!

step 3 : all the big events! hoco, first day of school, lake days, sporting events, camp etc.

thats all for this weeks post! make sure to check back at the end of the summer for a scrapbook tour, where i share all my favorite pages from my summer scrapbook!
