how to transition from summer to fall fashion

hey guys! I cant believe its fall again 😱 its seems like it was just yesterday that summer started and just weeks ago that I remember writing a fall fashion post for my wordpress.com blog 😂 (please don’t go try find it 🤦🏻‍♀️😂) believe it or not, its here, and the weather is starting to cool down (thanks goodness for that-especially after a bunch of 100 degree summer days) and its time to start taking some things out of the closet, and move others in! today I will be sharing my favorite tips and tricks for transitioning your closet to fall-with plenty of cute fit ideas as well ;))

hoodie + shorts

this is one of my go-to outfit ideas right now, and pairing a long sleeve or hoodie with a pair of shorts is such a cute look! plus, for my sporty girls, still keep you warm but not too warm, and you can always take off that hoodie if you get too sweaty and hot 😂

removable layers

adding a removable layer over your t shirt and shorts or t shirt and jeans will make sure you stay warm, but also make sure your not too cold either. I love wearing a zip up hoodie, flannel, oversized cut off crewneck with a tank top, or a shaket for nicer occasions.

flannelsssssss

I have a slight flannel obsession lol. I love layering them over dresses, around my waist, and over a plain colored t shirt, or even a graphic t shirt to school! some great places I’ve got mine in the past are old navy, target and Walmart! American eagle also has some great ones that I would love to try this season :))

sweater + skirt

a sweater and a skirt is s super cute look, especially for a fancy dinner, church, or just a nicer event. I have a oversized pink sweater that I love to wear over a plain black dress from AE. it keeps me warm but to too warm, and its such a cute combo!

the obvious jeans + t shirt

this is kind of an obvious one that I’m sure plenty of you are already rocking-but I thought i’d share some of my fav color combos with different washes of jeans!

light wash-dark pink/fuchsia, navy blue, orange, green

dark wash-black, light blue, orange also looks great with dark wash 😂

black-red, green, pink

brown-more browns, reds, beige, white and black

jean shorts + flannel

this is a cute look that can be mixed as well-the flannel can be tied around your waist, unbuttoned and tied, or just thrown over your shoulder! I try to pair all of my flannels with either a black or white t shirt underneath 😉

shorts + tank + zip up hoodie

this is a great one for a warmer day with chillier mornings, or for a later night! I typically bring a zip up hoodie to my soccer games in case the end of the game is chiller than when I get there a hour early 😂

shorts + a thicker t shirt

another great one for these beginning weeks of fall! great for just hanging around the house or youth group if you aren’t looking for a super dressed up look 😉
