hey friends! I have been wanting to do an all-around lifestyle tips post like this for a while, and me and pearl decided to collab on it together! today we are both sharing our top lifestyle tips for teen girls πŸ™‚ we’re talking about everything from healthy eating to clean rooms, so make sure to check out her post as well!

1. make your playlist as long (or longer) than your workout

especially if you connect a lot or are motivated by music as much as I am, having a good playlist that will last the full workout is really helpful.

2. eat healthier snacks

especially if you are public schooled, meals are usually quick, and if you each school lunch, not very healthy. making an effort to make/bring healthy snacks will make sure you feel your best πŸ™‚

3. make a daily checklist of tasks/responsibilities for each day

this is sooooooo helpful for making sure you get all your tasks done each day, whether its things you want to do or need to do! writing it in your bullet journal and along a few extra minutes to make it pretty also helps motivate me a bit more too πŸ™‚

4. get outside for at least 15 minutes every day

getting outside and getting vitamin d naturally from the sun is so important! plus, theres tons of fun stuff to do outside, like swinging, just going for a walk, skateboarding…so many options πŸ˜‰

5. plan outfits BEFORE purchasing the item

this will save you (or your mom πŸ˜‚) SO MUCH MONEYYYY. I know we see all the cute outfit trends on pinterest and they have that handy dandy little setting where it will show you exactly where you can buy whatever is in said picture of outfit. so if you’re like me…you buy it πŸ˜‚ then it arrives and your like “wait I have nothing that will match this” or “wait I need a pair of light wash skinny jeans and a long sleeve t shirt to go with this too” if you’re totally re doing your wardrobe, that might be fine, but it your just looking to add one or two pieces thats not helpful and can get you spending way more money than you intended. make sure you have 2+ outfits that you can plan with that new piece so you can get the most out of your money!

6. do your Bible time before lunch

make sure you get in the Word every day!! it helps so much with your adittude and its just good to be in a habit of reading God’s Word. after lunch is when my day usually has the most stuff to do, so doing it before then is a good way to make sure I get it done

7. make a once a week room cleaning checklist

anyone else seen that meme that says “my room was clean…but then I had to figure out what to wear”? thats me every day…so straightening things up is a must more than once a week, but doing a slightly deep clean once a week will keep things even cleaner, and make it so you down have to do a ton of work every day. plus, it will have your room looking fresh for the beginning of the week! having a checklist of different sections/stuff to pick up makes it even easier πŸ™‚

8. have a time blocked schedule for school mornings

this doesn’t have to be written down or made super official..but my morning looks like this

7:30/8 – wake up

8-8:30/8:45 – eat breakfast

8:45/9 – get ready

9/9:30 – start school

finish school by 11:30

11:30/12 – guitar practice and outside time

12:30 – lunch

and you get it by now πŸ˜‚

9. make a playlist for doing schoolwork/homework

listening to music motivates me to do literally anything. I have to clean the bathroom? if I can listen to music you wont hear me complain once πŸ˜‚ (most of the time πŸ˜…πŸ™ƒ) listening to music hypes me up and makes school work feel like something fun 🀩

10. go through your camera roll weekly and delete random pictures *this opens up SO much space on your phone!*

I’m going to a Thomas Rhett concert today (AHHHHHHHH tell me if yall want to hear about it) and I deleted about 400 random selfies and screenshots to make room for all the vids and pics im planning on taking (and theres probably more to be deleted πŸ˜‚)

11. make different focuses on your phone for different parts of the day/week/occasion

bonus tip! a focus is something you can set up in settings is you have a iPhone, and you can control who get get text notifications from, what apps send you notifications, and its great for church, babysitting, school and sports so only important people can make ur phone buzz and distract you. I have my parents + siblings plus a few of my best friends and gmail, Pinterest, bible, Spotify, classroom, and planning center on my day to day focus, so even I dont get much notifications and it helps you stay *focused* so well!

12. wash your face everyday, whether you wear makeup or not

this is so helpful for keeping my skin clear! even when I down wear makeup, I always wash my face that night anyway, because dirt and oils still get on your face, even if you dont have any makeup on πŸ™‚

well thats it! I hope that these tips were helpful for you, and while your at it, make sure to check out pearl’s post here, and comment your favorite lifestyle tips!
