hey hey! lately I’ve been feeling a bit down, missing my parents (who are on vacation) being stressed about school (which is thankfully over) and hard people in life (because were always gonna have those 😂) and thought that I’d share some of the ways I pick my self back up again and remember the good things when I’m feeling down.

listen to some music

music is literally my remedy and first, last and most often used resort. when i’m not having a conversation or hanging out with someone (even then sometimes music is playing) I have music playing in the gym, living room, or my earbuds. and even when im feeling down, I have one sad-ish song I listen to, and the all my hype songs for soccer practice. it makes me excited and gets me in a good adittude! Christian and Gospel music is great for this as well!

prayyyyyyyy

praying always helps. God will help you with it if you ask. it doesn’t matter if you don’t now what to pray or how to pray, just ask God for help. Ask him for peace. Ask him for joy. Ask him for patience. “ask and you will receive”

get a good cry out

sometimes, crying it out helps. lay in your bed and just sob. getting those emotions out earlier can help you stay calm after to try to sort out the issue.

get a hug

when you hug someone/get a hug, endorphins from your brain release into your body and make you happy! I have one friend that can somehow always tell when im having a rough day or am just carrying a lot, and they just give me a hug, sometimes without even talking to me. I can just walk up to them or by them and they’ll just hug me. even if you have to ask someone for a hug, it will definitely make you feel better 🙂

read your bible

going into God’s word and reading what he says about your situation, problems you’re facing, or just life it self is always such a great reminder every day.

fact #1

you are a chosen son/daughter of God and he will never stop loving you

fact #2

all things work together for the good of God. one of my favorite things to pray is ‘Lord, I know that whatever is happening is all going to be a part of your perfect plan’ its a great reminder 😉

fact #3

even when we don’t see it, God is working. this ties into tip 2, but is a bit more in-depth

fact #4

It took God 6 days to create the whole entire earth…plus every single planet, solar system, galaxy, and universe out there, yet it took him 9 months to create you. we were created in his image the exact way he wanted us to be.

fact #5

focus on things inside your control. write down what and who you are in charge of and who your aren’t in charge of/can control. then creating a plan for how you will handle each thing

fact #6

you are amazing. you are beautiful. even without looking at you right now I can tell you that because I am confident in the way God made you and he made you amazing.

fact #7

when you think God isnt near, remember that no one yells at you when they’re right beside you. (except me, im a pretty loud gal :)) he is whispering to you and telling you how to get through this, even if you can’t hear him. he is right there with you, walking beside you, holding your hand.

fact #8

God loves you. He loves you so much and he would never do anything to you that you can’t handle. He loves you and cares about you and wants to take care off you, but that doesn’t mean he’s gonna give you an easy life.

well, I know that this is another post that’s a bit different from the usual, but I hope you enjoyed it because I worked really hard on it 🙂 always reach out to me if you need to talk because I’d love to help you work through things and get to know you! remember that we all aren’t perfect and you aren’t the only one who feel this way sometimes, and just try not to dwell in the hard things, but look ahead toward the good things. I get this way sometimes, and often, so you aren’t alone ❤️
